The Invitation Studio opened in July, 1983 in Northern New Jersey and enjoyed a very successful run of 19 years at the same location. Owner Tom Shaheen developed the
operation from a small store dealing mainly in novelty party invitations into a business specializing in weddings, bar mitzvahs, moving and birth announcements and all the
accoutrement that go along with these events - place cards, programs, menus and any other specialty item one might need. Calligraphy is available for any and all affairs. Over the years, Tom has become a wealth of information in the proper etiquette for an affair - the time line, the wording for the invitations, the addressing of envelopes and the basic planning of the big event.
In October, 2002, The Invitation Studio made the move - a big move - to it's current location in North Palm Beach, Florida, where he joined forces with Joe Magill of Joseph Alan Designs and opened The Invitation Studio and Designer Boutique. Besides a custom line and over 90 invitation, announcement and stationery books, The Invitation Studio and Designer Boutique now offers a large selection of greeting cards, a large selection of napkins and guest towels, gift bags, candles, picture frames and home accessories. Joseph Alan has been in the Palm Beaches for over 20 years. Besides being an accomplished interior decorator, he has designed many of the home accessories on display in the studio. His aim has been to offer only one of a kind items in The Invitation Studio and Designer Boutique. The pottery from his own kilns are all unusual pieces and his seashell mirrors, tables and what nots are breathtakingly beautiful. Also on display are many of his silk arrangements - large and small, again all one of a kind. In addition, there are gift and consignment items displayed throughout The Studio. |
